Thoroughly examine the complex tapestry of American history through the struggle for justice and equality. Guests can witness the restored lunch counter in its original location, plus thirteen galleries with vivid photography, artifacts, video re-enactments, and interactive exhibits.

Guest Health & Safety

- Face coverings are required at all times while in the Museum.
- Hand sanitizer will be provided for each guest upon arrival.
- Social distancing is being observed within the Museum's spaces and galleries. 

If you need to reschedule or cancel, you may do so by creating an account on the Bookwhen portal when booking and make adjustments to your schedule.

Our on-site tours contain an exhibit called the "Hall of Shame" that may contain graphic imagery and language inappropriate for children or younger viewers, including scenes of lynchings, physical violence, and burnings. This experience includes an on-site, Filmed Tour of a staff-guided experience shown in the lower level Auditorium (50 minutes), followed by a walk-through of the Museum's galleries.

"Civil Rights Museum Legacy Tour"

LENGTH: 1 hour, 30 minutes (approximate)

This experience includes an on-site, small-group, fully staff-guided excursion through the entire permanent Museum collection, including "The Battlegrounds."
